Stacking the Shelves & Sunday Post (62)

Hosted by:  Tynga's Reviews

I decided to try out the audible trial where you get two books free the first month and then one book a month for $14.95.

I'm doing a Historical Romance Readathon this month, so I've decided to try out Lisa Kleypas, because I've been wanting to check out her books for awhile now.  I'm having a lot of fun venturing out of my comfort zone with audio books, and am finding them very convenient.

On the Blog this Week:

*The Opposite of Forever by Micah Good (Book Review)
*The Glass Queen (The Forest of Good and Evil #2) by Gena Showalter (WOW)
*All I Ask by Corinne Michaels (Book Review)
*Dark Bully Romances (Mini Reviews on Angry God by LJ Shen & Credence by Penelope Douglas)

  3. I rarely read audiobooks and that is on my lack of focus. I tend to drift off as I am listening and doing other chores. But I actually wish, so that I would make a dent on my TBR someday.

    1. They do help with making a dent in your TBR, but I understand the drifting off. I found reading along with the audiobook helped me focus more at the beginning. Now I can just listen with no problem.

  4. I have never read a Kleypas book, but she seems to be very loved. I don't tend towards historicals, so maybe that's why. I will also take more chances with audiobooks, since I have different slices of time dedicated to them, but I don't pay for them either. They are all from the library.

    1. I can't wait to see what audiobooks you have Sherry! I agree, it would be very convenient when you're outside gardening or working in the yard.

  6. I've really gotten into audible books this past year. I love the convenience. I haven't tried Audible yet though; I mainly just rely on my library. The free trial sounds tempting though.

    1. I'm having a lot of fun with it, and if you don't like the book you pick, you can exchange it easily :)

  7. I just cannot concentrate on an audiobook. I've tried a couple of times and because I can read a 200 page book in less than 2 hours I find it too time consuming to listen to one.

    1. I've struggled in the past on concentrating too Mary, and if I listen at night when I'm too tired, I fall asleep. That being said, they are really convenient when I need to do dishes, laundry, am in the car, and can't read the book myself.

  10. I read 'The One' fantastic stuff. In general I love novels with evil and manipulating characters, but I'll pick up an array of good books.

  11. I started audiobooks in 2015 when I was packing and moving from MN to NC. I got CDs from the library! Now it's all digital and audio is 50% or more of my reading. It's just great for doing at the same time as something else. You get used to working it into every aspect of your life eventually. Enjoy!

  13. Omg! I love The Ravenels series by Kleypas! The audios just enhance the story because Mary Jane Wells is such an excellent narrator. Enjoy, Lindy! :)

  14. I enjoy audibles. But some of them can be very long. LOL I plan on listening to a few this week as I have some time off from work and will be cleaning the house.
