Fake It, by Jennifer Chance, was a very fun, sexy, and entertaining story! It is the story of workaholic Anna Richardson, and sexy motorcycle man, Jake Flynn.  Anna had a childhood in which her mother constantly struggled with finances.  As you can imagine, this had a huge effect of Anna.  She made a promise to herself, that she would never struggle with money, and have to go through what her mother had.  Therefore, she threw herself in to college, and made a successful career for herself that ensured a vast amount of material wealth and comfort.  Unfortunately, she became a workaholic and doesn't let her hair down much.  With her college roommate getting married, she needs to produce a date.  Especially since she lied to her friends and told them she had a boyfriend named Dave that she had been dating for six months.  In reality, she's created this fake boyfriend to stop her college friends from constantly trying to set her up, and to stop her ex-boyfriend, Todd, from trying to impose himself back in to her life.

Enter, Jake.  He is Anna's sexy neighbor.  Every night she walks past his garage as he works on motorcycles, and dresses up just for him.  Jake is a free spirit, who likes to travel and ride his bike.  He is the complete opposite of Anna's type.  She tends to go for the stiff, button-up, well-off, and prominent business men.  Jake has set his eyes on Anna ands is very persistent.  While she is looking for a man to stand in as her fake boyfriend, Jake is all to willing to offer his services, and while Anna is reluctant at first, she eventually agrees!

Fake It was such a fun story!  I loved Jake's free spirited and fun attitude.  He brought out such a different side to Anna, and she started to really live and enjoy her life.  She stopped focusing on her image, and what others thought, and really started to enjoy her own adventure, and live!  Jake and Anna were very sexy together.  They had great chemistry, and Ms. Chance writes the steamiest love scenes!  Whew!!!  She sure knows what she is doing!!!  These two may have been opposites, but they really complimented one another.  Last, but not least, I loved getting reunited with the secondary characters from the last book, Rock It!  Erin, Dani, and of course Lacey were great!  Any girl would be lucky to have them as friends, and I felt like they were mine.  Fake It, kept my attention, and I couldn't wait to see how it all would end.

My Rating:

If you are looking for a fun, easygoing romance, with a sexy feel, Fake It, is the read for you!  I give Fake It 4 Wild, Adventurous, Carefree, Coming Out5 of Your Shell, and Living Life Filled Stars!!!  Each book in this series, just keeps getting better, and I'm excited to see what Ms. Chance comes up with next!

The Way Ria See's It

OHHHH mYYYYY GoodNESS Fake It was SO HOT!!! Ms Chance really ramps up the steam in this story! I absolutely LOVED it! This is the 2nd book in the Rule Breakers series and its the one I was initially drawn to cause…Sexy biker guy? Yep my thoughts exactly. We were first introduced to Anna in Rock It and I must say I fell in love with her there. When Lacey needed her Anna rushed to her side to help Lacey fix things she came through in a big way. We got a glimpse of Anna’s strength and determination so I was already in love all I needed to do was enjoy the ride. Let me tell you! Jake made this book sizzle the things he did for and to Anna were…*sigh* Their chemistry and charisma really made this book shine. Though this wasn’t an emotional read I did catch the feels a couple of times my eyes got all watery and I had to bite back tears. All and all this was a very fun read I did not want to put down. I can’t wait to see whats next in the Rule Breakers series.

F-rustrated, Anna has waited to long and perpetuated a lie that has spun out of control. Time is precious and though she doesn’t want Jake to be her date her body and heart are telling her something totally different. 

A-cquired, Anna has worked hard for what she has accomplished in her life. Being with Jake seems so simple yet its the most profound thing she has had since she can recall. Afraid of life is not the way to live besides whats one weekend of losing control?

K-een, Jake knows exactly what he wants never taking to much just what he needs. He calls the shots on life, life doesn’t call the shots on him. All he has ever needed before was his bike and a long stretch of road, now he cant imagine either of those things without Anna.

E-clipsed, a weekend that was supposed to be fun and carefree has turned into so much more. Anna is confused and heart broken while Jake will take a leap and push Anna, what he doesn’t understand is he is so strong that while pushing he has pushed too hard leaving Anna without a choice.

I-ntense, Jake has always cared too much he has so much inside him. Broken but determined to make things right he will alter his plans to focus on part of his new dreams. Having Anna by his side.

T-rip, just when things seemed to file into place a whirlwind of events crash down on Anna’s life that will be what it takes to make her decision final.

So at first I was like okay how is Ms Chance going to end this cause I wanted the HEA but to be perfectly honest our two main characters were like oil and water. Their lives and ambitions were polar opposites so I was very very curious. Drum roll please…yay! well played Ms. Chance well played! The ending was perfect! OMG it was charming, endearing, totally plausible, and made me bite back some tears pretty hard. The side characters were great as usual the girls were all there and we got an update on our sexy rockstar and his new manager. Thats probably one of my favorite things about a series that can also be stand alone…Though the main characters are different and the story lines are way different, we get to see little snip its of past characters! Lol! This was a great read so I totally recommend it!

The Way I See It

What a super cute read Rock It was fun and flirty. With some pretty steamy scenes in between. This was a quick read and I enjoyed but I didn’t love it ya know? It was good the writing was good I enjoyed the authors flow and pacing. I enjoyed the characters though I have to admit It took me a little while to warm up to Lacey at first I thought she was a crazy fan girl and I’m more into girls who kick but not pine over the unattainable guy. Needless to say she grew on me she ended up demonstrating her determination and desire to achieve her dreams. This was like a contemporary fairy tale for sure! This was about a young girls dreams coming true. Dante was portrayed as a mega hot mega play boy but as it turns out he not once acted like it in the book. I’m guessing it was all a fabrication of the media. Though the topic is never brought up. I also really liked the side characters like Henry Anna Erin and Dani. Her boss was a total B but I didn’t hate her she was a shark and did her job well. I’m looking forward to Fake It its the next in the series.

R-esigned, to love from far away all Lacey has ever wanted to do is love Dante but she had to grow up and now she has the opportunity of working with him.
O-rganization, per the sexy rock god’s request Lacey will be handling things with him very closely during their blowout tour. She must hide her true feelings towards him and keep things professional.
C-urious, Dante has seen every reaction from every kind of girl but something about Lacey calls to him in a way he cannot describe. He knows there is a connection and desire now all he has to do is corner her and shake up her world.
K-nowledge, in a desperate and cold move Lacey’s boss Brenda will reveal her secret and the waves it creates will be astronomical.


I-ndependent, Lacey knew the tour wouldn’t last forever now she must put on her big girl pants and move on. Loving a rockstar is a dream one she knows has come to an end, picking up the pieces of her heart she will face the onslaught of reactions from the entertainment world.
T-rust, Dante didn’t know what exactly he was doing during the tour, now that its over there is no doubt. As long as he has Lacey by his side he is ready to make a new name for himself and to love someone fully.

Like I said modern day fairy tale. I’m in like not love. It just needed a little more for me but it was still a good read. ;) Lacey worked hard her whole life and when Dante shows up he turns it upside down. There weren't any earth shattering dark looming secrets so your tear ducts are safe I assure you. There was however tons and tons of tender moments and swoon moments as well. This is one I recommend for a lazy sunday afternoon especially if your into cute fun and flirty romances. Oh add a dash of va va va voom sexy moments and you’ve got yourself Rock It by Jennifer Chance. I’m looking forward to the other installments in this series for sure.

My Thoughts:

Rock It, by Jennifer chance was a quick, fun, and steamy read!  I enjoy stories about rock stars, so I was very excited and intrigued, when I got offered, Rock It, for review.  I loved the premise.  Lacey has been a huge fan of Dante Falcone's for ten years.  She's followed his career from when he was just starting out, till he turned in to a huge pop star, and finally to where he is today, a rock legend.  She has fifteen scrapbooks to prove it, and wrote him one hundred letters in one year.  Lacey has repeatedly fantasized about Dante, and any woman who has had a celebrity crush could relate to her on some level.  Lacey ends up working for IMO, a worldwide media company who works with the largest clients!  Dante Falcone is IMO's newest client, and it becomes a dream come true when Lacey, the newest, and youngest junior agent, gets to work closely with him for the next two weeks, at his request.

Rock It was told from both Lacey and Dante's point of views.  I loved the intense attraction and sexual chemistry these two felt for one another from the very beginning.  Lacey was determined to keep things professional between herself and Dante, but he had other ideas!  I loved how much Lacey changed and evolved throughout the story.  She started off as very formal, conservative, a bit stiff, and insecure.  Throughout the story, she really blossomed and came in to her own.  She became a much more fun character, and her self awareness, confidence, and wild and daring side came out!  I also enjoyed how at first Lacey viewed Dante as a fantasy, and saw him through the eyes of a fan, to really getting to know him on a deeper level, and seeing the real person behind the rock star image.  Lacey and Dante had other dreams and hidden pieces of themselves that they shared with one another, and while the attraction started off as purely sexual, it eventually evolved into a deeper, and more emotional connection.

I loved the secondary characters in this story as well, and hope to learn more about Lacey's good friends, Anna, Erin, and Dani.  The girls had such a great friendship, and I loved the few scenes where they interacted with one another.  I'm hoping that the future installments in the series will be about these girls!  I couldn't stand, Lacey's boss, Brenda.  The woman was conniving, underhanded, and evil!  I enjoyed getting to know the guys in the band as well.  My favorite was Harry, who really cared about Dante, and was good to Lacey.  I enjoyed the fact that he really knew who Dante was as a person, and gave Lacey insight and advice.  

The story had a few plot twists that made for some really fun scenes, but for the most part was about Lacey and Dante evolving individually, and together.  It was interesting getting a glimpse in to the day in and day out life of a rockstar, along with all the teamwork and effort that go in to a concert running smoothly. We also get a glimpse of the cut throat nature of the entertainment business, as well as how lonely it must be to be famous, yet surrounded by people that just see an image, instead of who you really are as a person.

My Rating:

Rock It by Jennifer Chance was a fun escape!  I loved Dante and Lacey, as well as many of the secondary characters!  I give this story 3.5 Fun, Flirty, Adventurous, Swoony Rock Idol Filled Stars!  If your looking for a story without angst, but with lots of steamy, and sexy fun, Rock It, is a good story to read!
