Stacking the Shelves & Sunday Post (54)

January has been a crazy month so far!  I started my raw fruit and vegetable cleanse on the 1st. I've been juicing 16 oz. of celery juice every morning and living on smoothies and salads, and have lost 9 pounds at this point, and am feeling so much better!  I am having a lot of fun with my new Bookworm Life Planner that I purchased from Peanutbutter Taco on Etsy.  I'm also having a great time with the Romanceopoly challenge, and am so glad that I learned about it from Sophia@DelightedReader.

I've been preparing for my daughter's IEP on the 21st, and am really stressed out about it.  I'll be so relieved when it's done!  On the frustrating front, I have been having trouble commenting on my blog and other blogger blogs.  Initially, when this happened awhile back, I just had to open a private window, and then I could comment.  Unfortunately, that's not working anymore.  Kim@ Caffeinated Reviewer tried to help me out.  I emptied my cache and that worked for a couple of hours, but now I'm back not being able to comment.  Any suggestions or advice for those of you who are computer savvy?

  1. You got some great books! I find sometimes my comments go to spam on others' blogs but I don't know how to fix it. They have to check their spam to find my comments. I have to remember to check my blog's spam once in awhile too.

Have a great week and enjoy those new reads!

  2. I cannot login to my own blogger blog since I updated Safari. I switched browsers and everything is fine. I gave up trying to fix it in Safari, because I was spending way too much time searching for fixes. Good luck with the IEP meeting. Just make sure you know what services your daughter is entitled to, because the schools always try to shortchange you and get away with doing less than they should. I see a bunch of great books up there. Loved Bittersweet, Long Shot, and Almost Just Friends. And, wow! 9 pounds in 2 weeks is amazing!

    1. Thanks so much Sam for the tip! Yep, that's why I'm dreading the IEP. I already am counting on them trying to take away services.

Great job on losing so much weight this month and feeling better already.

  7. Happy New Year, Lindy! First time I've been around to comment on your blog (hangs head).
Yay, glad you're doing Romanceopoly, too. It's great fun.
Will be thinking of you and wishing you well for next week's IEP. I know you'll do your best to be a great advocate for your daughter. Is there a parent's advocacy resource you can contact in case you need support or someone with knowledge to sit in the IEP with you? They have a non-profit group around here for that.
Ugh, the comments issue. I don't know if it will help, but we were having all sorts of trouble with stuff at Delighted Reader including related to comments and Shari ended up having to remove the last update after trying to work from a different browser and different device.
Oooh, nice haul of books. I want to start that Sarina Bowen series, too.

    1. Changing the browser worked, so now I can comment again :) I have an advocate stored in my phone in case I run it to any problems. Thanks so much for stopping by Sophia :)

  8. I enjoyed Say Youll Remember Me when it came out. ♥️ I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble commenting. The private window thing still works for me. (Knock on wood that it keeps working.) I hope you figure out what to do to fix it. 🙈 and sorry I’ve not been around! I’ve visited you a couple times and when I loaded your home page it wouldn’t load anything past November 2019. So I thought you took a hiatus. Today I realized you’ve been posting when I scrolled down and found your post list. 😅 gahhhhhh.

  9. Someone else was telling me they were having issues commenting as well. So weird. I wonder if it isn't a glitch of some kind? So strange but I hope you get it figured out soon and congrats on losing weight, that is awesome!!

    1. I was able to get it resolved. I guess there are problems with the Safari update, so after I switched browsers, everything is back to normal.

  11. Good luck with your daughter's IEP, and congrats on losing 9lbs! I'm not sure what to do about commenting. Maybe try another browser? I can't comment on my phone because of something to do with signing into Blogger, it just won't take so I don't even bother to try until I get to my laptop at home.

    1. Yeah, I can't comment on my phone anymore either, which is an inconvenience. Switching browsers worked, so now I can at least comment on my laptop.
