Down to My Soul Soul #2 By: Kennedy Ryan Release Date: March 31, 2016 Add to Goodreads GR's Summary: RHYSON She doesn't wear my ring. We never stood before a preacher. The only vows exchanged were between our bodies; between our souls. But she was mine and I was hers until I ruined it. I have to believe that every day, every step, every breath brings me closer to making things right. To making her mine again. KAI I've seen promises broken. I know love makes no guarantees. But things were different for Rhys and me, until he lied, and I walked away. Only there's a chain between our hearts that I can't break. Even if I forgive him, a shadow from my past hangs over us; over this love that reaches all the way down to my soul.
“Rhys?” His name rushes from my mouth on a breath, and I’m off the bed, hurling myself at him top speed. Somehow my legs wrap around his waist and my arms tangle behind his neck. I couldn’t hold back and play this cool if I wanted to. Every part of me that’s been fighting to stay focused, to keep working, to be on, collapses against him. Surrenders to the feel of him in my arms and the smell of him. My fingers lace through his hair. I scatter kisses across his face, the sharp angles and taut skin warm beneath my lips. “So I take it you’re happy to see me?” He chuckles, pressing his forehead to mine, hands squeezing my thighs. “Happy?” I release something that’s half a sob, half a laugh, pulling back a few centimeters to let him breathe. “What gave you that idea?” We stop grinning at the same time, laughter dissolving, our bodies exchanging sensual information. My breasts flattened to his chest. His erection growing and hardening against my core. Our breaths mingling and hearts tattooing beats through our clothes and into the other’s skin. I move first, leaning in to capture his bottom lip between mine, sucking and pulling between my teeth. Licking into his mouth like there’s honey hidden inside. He groans into the kiss, walking backward until we reach the bed and dropping me so I bounce a little, his eyes roving over me head to toe. “Pep, what the hell are you wearing?” Humor and desire tussle in his eyes. I look down, laughing when I see the young Jackson brothers emblazoned across my chest, my legs ending in the footed bottoms. “If I’d known you were coming, I could have made sexier arrangements.” “Arrangements?” He quirks a dark brow, placing a knee on either side of my legs, hovering over me like a promise. “Lingerie would have been nice. Other rock stars have girlfriends who wear lingerie.” “Oh, are you referring to yourself as a rock star now?” I grin up at him, feeling whole for the first time since he kissed me goodbye a week ago. “That’s not egomaniacal at all. Is there a club? You guys have rock star meetings? Does one of you take rock star minutes?” “You are sitting in here listening to my music in the dark.” He leans forward to tug at the zipper beneath my chin. “Maybe you’re actually one of my crazed fans. Or a groupie. I might even find a Mrs. Rhyson Gray t-shirt around here somewhere. My girlfriend doesn’t like those.” “No, she doesn’t.” I shake my head, eyes never straying from his.
A small frown jerks his brows together. He tugs again at the zipper, but it doesn’t budge. “Pep, it’s stuck,” he says. “Sometimes it does that,” I answer easily, enjoying the frustration spreading over his expression as he keeps pulling and it keeps staying. He places my hand over his cock, hard and poking through his jeans. “Well, it’s not exactly a good time for it to do that.” I laugh, grasping my zipper and tugging. Wow, it really is stuck. These are vintage PJs, older than I am and threadbare in places. I’m surprised the zipper hasn’t rusted before now. I sit up, bringing our bodies closer as I jiggle the little hook a few times. Nothing. “Just how attached are you to this Jackson Five onesie?” His glance burns hot across my subtle curves visible through the thin flannel, telegraphing his intentions. “Well this is Michael’s original nose.” I release a fake exasperated sigh. “But I do have my sewing kit.” “All I needed to hear.” Sorry, boys. He grabs the two ends of the collar separated by the zip line and pulls until there’s a ripping sound, the panels falling back to reveal my naked breasts and my panties. A wicked grin spreads across lips. “You naughty girl.” He runs a finger over the writing on the front of my calendar panties, carrying a current that simultaneously hitches my breath and gets me wet. “Wearing Monday panties on a Thursday. My little rebel.”

About me? Well, I was born and raised and continue to live in sunny southern California. I’m married and have two wonderful teens. My love for writing began when I was just a kid though, I never really had any dreams or aspirations of doing it for a living. Then along came the age of eReaders and with it indie publishing and I saw an opportunity to get my writing out for the world to read without jumping through hoops and getting past the red tape of trying to get traditionally published. The Moreno Brothers series has literally changed my life. I now wake up to go to work a few yards from my bed. 5th Street is my second series. There is also the Moreno Brothers spin-off series, Fate with Fate and Breaking Brandon out and two more to come. I just put out my first traditionally published book and first in my next series Desert Heat. But I have much more to come. Check back often.
I love hearing from my readers and always try to respond as soon as I can, but if there is a certain question being asked over and over instead of answering it 20 times I will post on my FAQ page so check there often! I’ve been super busy so please bear with me if I’m not quick on responding to your messages/comments!
Nobody But You Cedar Ridge #3 By: Jill Shalvis Release Date: March 29, 2016 Publisher: Forever Romance Add to Goodreads Source: eARC from publisher in exchange for a honest review GR's Summary:
SOMETIMES YOU CAN GO HOME AGAIN… After an overseas mission goes wrong, Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid knows where he must go to make things right: back home to the tiny town of Cedar Ridge, Colorado. All he needs to scrub away his painful past is fresh mountain air, a lakeside cabin, and quiet solitude. But what he discovers is a gorgeous woman living on a boat at his dock. Sophie Marren has nowhere else to go. She’s broke, intermittently seasick, and fighting a serious attraction to the brooding, dishy, I’m-too-sexy-for-myself guy who’s now claiming her dock. Something about Jacob’s dark intensity makes her want to tease—and tempt—him beyond measure. Neither one wants to give any ground . . . until they realize the only true home they have is with each other.
The Cedar Ridge Series is the kind that brings you lots of warm fuzzies. It is a small town romance about the Kincaid siblings, their relationships with one another, as well as their adventures when it comes to finding love. The Kincaid family is extremely close, and reminds me of my own family. They are there for one another through thick and thin, enjoy joking around, and share a loyalty and extreme closeness that is beautiful to watch. Nobody but You is identical twin and Army Special Forces Officer, Jacob Kincaid's story. Jacob left home when he was eighteen to join the army. He had a falling out with his twin brother Hudson, and has been away from his family for nine years. After his best friend dies, he realizes that he needs to make amends with his family, because life is too short. When Jacob returns to Cedar Ridge Lake, Colorado, he meets the beautiful, gutsy, and feisty, Sophie Marren. Sophie is living on her cheating ex-husband's luxury boat. After her marriage ended, she took the only item that meant anything to him, and now she's miserable. She's sea sick, uncomfortable in the small living space, penniless, and trying to get her life back on track. When Jacob meets Sophie, she makes him feel alive. He is highly amused, entertained, and turned on by her fiery little temper, and is drawn to her like a moth to a flame. Sophie thinks Jacob is gorgeous, and can feel the combustible chemistry between them, but doesn't think that she can love anyone. She got her heart broken by her philandering ex-husband, and never wants to be hurt like that again. However, as she tries to make a new beginning for herself, Jacob finds a way to insert himself in to her life, and permanently in to her heart. I always enjoy returning to the charming and quaint town of Cedar Ridge. I felt right at home, as I was reunited with Gray, Aiden, Hudson, and Kenna Kincaid, and their significant others. Nobody But You was an extremely pleasurable read, and I looked forward to reading Jacob and Sophie's story every chance I got. It was a great reading escape, that was full of laughs, tender moments, emotional times, as well as joyful and sexy moments.
I give, Nobody But You, by Jill Shalvis, 4 A Family Reunited, Fiery Adventure, The Forever Kind of Love Filled Stars! Ms. Shalvis, please give Kenna and Mitch a story, and go back and tell us Gray and Penny's story! I love the Kincaid Family, and am not ready to say goodbye to them! I love all of Jill Shalvis' books, but the Cedar Ridge Series is my absolute favorite! I highly recommend these books to readers who love books about small town romance, close-knit families, and super hot sexy times!!!
This is my first time reading a book by Jill Shalvis. I am so happy that I got a chance to finally break the ice and discover her amazing talent. She's such a wonderful storyteller! I have been reading amazing things about her work from my co-blogger. We have similar tastes in books so I knew that I would fall in love with Jill Shalvis' writing style just like she did. Nobody But You was an enjoyable and sweet reading escape! Nobody But You is the third installment of the Cedar Ridge Series by Jill Shalvis. It can be read as a standalone and it follows Sophie Marren and Army Special Forces officer Jacob Kincaid.
Both Sophie and Jacob are going through some rough times. Jacob is coming back home after an oversea mission that left him broken. Picking up the pieces of his past will be a big challenge. Sophie is ready to turn the page and start a new journey. Even if it starts by stealing her ex-husband's boat. She has nowhere to go so she goes with the flow when it comes to taking her next decision. What she never expected was to meet Jacob Kincaid. His intensity leaves her breathless. She can't deny that she is attracted to him and after what happened with her husband a temporary distraction is exactly what she needs. No strings attached. As days go by, Sophie and Jacob grow closer together and can't deny that this is more than a fling. What happens when feelings start to grow and the only thing you think you did not need is everything you want?
Sophie and Jacob's love story was romantic, sweet and heart melting. I love when an author brings the characters to life in when writing their story and that is exactly what she did in Nobody But You. The chemistry between the main characters was sizzling and their banter was simply irresistible! They both were fun and easy to relate to.
Sophie and Jacob had a slow building romance that touched my heart and through many ups and down they made their relationship work. It was hard for Sophie to trust a man after what happened with her ex-husband, but Jacob swept her off her feet with his irresistible charm and fun personality. Sophie's arrival was like a soothing balm to Jacob's emotional scars. She was the person he turned to for comfort without knowing that she would own his heart in a flash.
Even if I did not read the previous books in the Cedar Ridge Series, I did not feel lost. I really hope I get a chance to read them pretty soon and embark on another great reading journey. Jacob's siblings were great and I really hope that this series will continue. I loved the moments that they shared has a family. Things were pretty intense at the beginning between Jacob and his siblings, but as time went by he got closer to them. I highly recommend this book if you want to read your first Jill Shalvis book. It will get you hooked!
I give, Nobody But You, by Jill Shalvis, 4 romantic, sweet, we're in this together, heart and soul stars!
