Summary
They say when you take revenge against another you lose a part of your innocence. But I’m not innocent.
I haven’t been for a very long time.
My innocence was stolen from me. Taken was the life I was supposed to have. The soul I was born with. The ruby heart embedded in a life full of hopes and dreams.

Gone.

Vanished.

I never even had a choice.
I mourn that life. Mourn the what-ifs. Until now.
I’m ready to take back what was always meant to be mine.

But every plan has a fatal flaw. Sometimes it’s the heart.

**Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only as some scenes may be particularly disturbing.**

The Way I See It

Oh

My

Sh*#

BANG is MOTHER FLIPPINg righT!! This book should come with a serious warning label…

OH.Thats right!

IT.

DOES.

This is a serious mind flip y’all! In normal Blair fashion get ready to be SUCKED in, to find yourself frantically turning the pages till theres no more. I could not put this down. I did not want to put this down! Meal times…BE DAMNED!! Everything is clouded in mystery so don’t try guessing you’ll come up short. One thing is very evident from the very beginning thats the pain that Nina bares on her shoulders. We aren’t clued in on every facet but as the story moves forward and we peal back the layers the truth is revealed. What is left is shear desolation and desperation. My heart broke for the cruel injustice and I wept for the pain Nina felt. This is definitely dark and full of pain. No unicorns and rainbows here.

B-
listering, hatred has consumed Nina for years. A machine fueled by vengeance she will see to it, she will be the cause of judgment day.
A-
lone, so many things were lost to Nina and the world has kept spinning all the while cementing the fact that she cannot trust. Weakness means failure and she refuses to lose, rage is a fine fuel indeed.
N-
emesis, rivals through and through Nina’s key will push her boundaries and challenge her thoughts. Conversations of green countrysides will poison Nina not preparing her for whats next.
G-
ames, plots and plans carefully laid out what was supposed to be clean and simple has morphed into chaos and despair. No amount of preparation could have readied Nina for the onslaught of torture that is to come her way.

Did somebody say cliffhanger?

YEP! Well, I’m not too happy about that WTF is happening right now?! I can tell you but I won’t I need to know what happens next just as badly as I need my next breath! I’m gonna be frank here I screamed towards the end of the book…Literally, I.Yelled. The word “NO” came out of my mouth using an inappropriate(for indoors) volume! Seriously. Yelled, NO. Get ready for grit and painful heart wrenching truths. Life has been a nightmare and the blame all ends up one place. Nina was raised in hell surrounded by monsters…Slaying the beasts that haunt her is her first task. Destroying the catalyst that set everything in motion is within her reach all Nina has to do is take the final plunge and everything she has ever dreamed of will be hers. Ms. Blair holds nothing back it is so hard when you read a book and you can’t pick a side(well except for the truest of evils that you will hate early on)…Ms Blair is that good everyone who matters in this story is so real you can feel a piece of their soul. Down to the maid, there is a deep connection there, thats something only a very talented author can do. There is something hauntingly beautiful about this story because even though its dark and things are desolate. We see glimpses of hope and sunshine that is what keeps us turning the pages I’m expecting great things from Nina and I know she won’t disappoint. Nina is a firecracker who will see to redemption, to regaining what was stolen from her.

My Fav's

Nina
Wow, talk about complex. We see so many sides from her most of them calculating and put together for a purpose. There are times when she is soft and free. It is in those times that I fell in love with her. Nina faces ultimate despair time and time again we see her go through unbelievable amounts of pain. Yet through the agony we see glimpses of the girl who loves daisies and sprinkles. The courage this requires goes without measure.

The Guys
WOW!! Not gonna say any names for the purpose of anonymity BUT…I wanted to hate, I wanted to love, but mostly I wanted to understand. By the end of it all everything went to hades in a hand basket. The love turned to despair, the hate turned to empathy, and the longing to understand, turned to sheer rage. The acceptance was endearing whilst the betrayal ran deep.

My Wish
I want the next book NOW holy cannoli. I’ve never had a panic attack…THis must be what one feels like.

My Rating
4.0 Cupcake, Tea, Prince, Caterpillar, Guns, Purple, Welts, Bleach, Party, Mask, Dance, Mattress, Abandoned, Fire, Dubai, Results, Anger, Hospital, Blood, Love pained and heart felt stars!! Pick this series up!! Its promising to be a great thrill ride!!!!
